“The best way to remember something is to change it. ..If it’s visual, make it verbal, if it’s verbal create a diagram or picture of it.”

About Us
After 14 years of trial and error with various curriculums, our team has amassed this eclectic, flexible, and yet comprehensive, chronological curriculum. Within each unit, you will find various activities to help your children of any age enhance, expand, and enrich the lessons.
Most history curriculums teach singular events or stories of individual countries in frankly, quite boring textbooks. They rarely show how these events and stories overlap or relate to each other. Our objective has been to put these stories in context with one another. Additionally, ancient history’s chronology, especially near and before the flood, does not correlate with Bible history. This can be explained, and our children need to know how they can agree, and find the truth.
Each unit is designed to be covered in one month, according to the child’s ability. It is an outline that can be made appropriate for any grade level. We recommend covering the curriculum 3 times throughout the child’s schooling years. Once as an elementary student, once in middle school, and once in High School. Thus you will not see a schedule or assigned pages. Please try this family style, with all the kids following the same unit, just according to their ability.
As the lessons include so many links to the accurate research of jw.org, the lessons are free. In the interests of being able to continue, donations are greatly appreciated. However, we don’t want anyone to miss out. If you are unable to contribute something for the time and resources needed to compile this, please don’t let it stop you from using it!
We really want to share our efforts with you.

Unit 6
the kings
Let’s look into archeology and what it teaches us about the Bible’s reliability. Take a virtual tours of the people known for their ships and purple dye. What about Ninevah? What happened to them after Jonah spoke to them? Get out your bowls and come make some ancient bread and dye while we learn all about the different things in the time of the Biblical kings!
A few other treasures? When did Job live? Or what were some ancient musical instruments?
Unit 7
the exile
Learning about Babylon while appreciating Daniel, Jeremiah and Ezekiel is fantabulous! Come join us and also discover a city of fabric called Persepolis. Or next time you spot a boat, can you and a friend estimate how far away the boat is using the Pythagorean Theorem?
Unit 8
the return
Artaxerxes who? … The Jews return to Jerusalem! … Quicken your feet to catch up with this fast paced time in the Bible and in the world. Science, art, theatre, it’s all new and different. Let’s dig in with activities that help us discover our roots, faith and own thoughts amidst these changing times.

What is the homeschooling style?
What is your background?
You can “pick your own adventure” like Montessori, and bring the history to life like Charlotte Mason. Yet, the timing is based on Classical. The units are in a 3-4 year rotation, meaning these are lessons good for your whole family, no matter the grade. There are many literature suggestions and links to articles on jw.org. If you ever want more for a particular era, ask us! We have more!!
We have 14 years of homeschool experience, 4 parents, 6 kids, some education background, and a lot of feedback from other families.
